So many faces pass us by as we walk through the streets of Istanbul. Faces of men, of women, of children. Local faces and international, too. Asian, African, European, and even some Americans. Each face has a story to tell . . .each face reflecting a heart that is looking, even searching for the love God so freely gives through His Son.
Thank you for praying for our continuing journey through the Middle East. We have been amazed by the open doors for ministry with women. While it's not surprising to see women wholeheartedly serving our Savior, it is a delight to see their ministry honored and included by the leaders of each ministry we call our partners!
Tomorrow brings a fresh opportunity for Partners International Women as we connect with the women leaders serving here in Istanbul, Turkey. The church is scattered, and struggles against the culture and dominating religion of this region. Yet, they are vibrant in their faith and fervent in their service. We fully anticipate that we will be encouraged and challenged by their stories and practical ways they bring Christ to this culture.
Please pray for safety in traveling to their location, for ease in communication, and for a heart connection that continues throughout our visit and far into the future.
As you pray for us, you are serving as a vital part of this Middle East team, and we are so grateful. Along with you, we pray that our faces will reflect His heart for all people.
