2nd Update from SE Asia Team

Dear prayer partners,

I often find great encouragement in knowing that I'm not the only one walking through a particular circumstance, don't you? Today, half way around the world from you, we still find this fact encouraging!

It's great to know that you are praying and sending words of encouragement our way via Jessica King. Thank you! We are most encouraged by the Lord's work here in Cambodia. The opportunity to gather with women leaders has yielded amazing fruit along with our connections with like-minded ministries who are serving among those often forgotten and often most oppressed--the women and the children. Our meetings with those involved in church planting, human trafficking, radio ministry and hands-on outreach to them have been nothing short of divine. We are treasuring every moment with the Cambodian people!

In fact . . . we must be doing such a great job God has provided a way for us to stay a bit longer. Just when we received our tickets (in the knick of time, I may add) we discovered that the Vietnamese government has issed the wrong date on our visas, required to enter the country. Good news--this was discovered at the airport in Cambodia--bad news--we will be one day late for the women's training. Good news--Carla Bowman has gone ahead (her visa had the correct date) along with Phil Arendt. Good news--Joel will go along with us tomorrow to be sure that we make it all the way to our final destination. Good news--Wigg Noone is such an amazing team player and I am not here in Cambodia facing this challenge alone. Good news--we hope to visit the embassy tomorrow morning and travel to Vietnam by early afternoon--which puts us at our women's training with Carla, Esther and the ladies by evening.

As you can see, there is far more good news than bad. And, somehow we just know that God's hand is in control and even through this new test we are trusting ourselves to His care, "casting all of our care upon Him for He cares for us." 1 Peter 5:7

However, we also remember that His word says, "be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about,.seeking whom he may devour" 1 Peter 5:8

Rather, we choose to stand on this Promise: "the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one." 2 Thessalonians 3:3

So, please join in prayer together for this phenomenal opportunity to minister to and with our Vietnamese sisters as we stand and having done all stand. Thank you for standing with us and these precious ones!

With Much Love,
Wigg & Kim (Cambodia)
Carla (Vietnam)
